Kaleida™ Help Center
Answers on privacy, setup, and every capability, shaped by your family's needs.
Three quick steps to get your family up and running with Kaleida.
Every family is different — dig into the one your household needs most.
Kaleida is TrendLife's family-aware AI companion. Instead of helping one person at a time, it's built to protect, guide, and coordinate an entire household.
Most AI tools treat every conversation as if it's happening in isolation. Kaleida is built around the idea that families share a life — so it holds context across members, protects everyone's privacy with Privacy Shield, and lets each household set its own values through Security & Governance.
Kaleida's six capabilities cover privacy protection, shared family context, homework support for kids, safe task automation, smart AI selection, and real-time scam protection. See "Explore every capability" above for details on each.
Kaleida is currently in early access, with wider public availability planned for later in 2026. Early access families help shape the experience as it grows.
Here's what happens the first time your family opens Kaleida, from activation to your first conversation.
If anything feels unclear along the way, Trend Companion or this Help Center hub can point you to the right next step.

Kaleida is built so that families — not just individuals — decide how AI behaves in their household. Here's how to set that up.
From Family Settings, a family organizer can set boundaries for each member, such as topics that need extra guidance for younger children or how much independence a teenager has.
Family organizers can see a summary of how each capability has been used across the household, so parental oversight doesn't mean reading every conversation — just having visibility into how Kaleida is helping.
The age range set for each family member shapes how capabilities like Learning Buddy respond. Keep age ranges up to date as children grow.
More than one adult in a household can be a family organizer. Add a co-organizer from Family Settings so governance decisions aren't left to just one person.
Kaleida is currently in early access ahead of wider availability later in 2026. Here's what that means for your account and subscription.
Early access families get to use Kaleida's capabilities as they're refined, and their feedback helps shape the experience before general availability.
Kaleida uses the same TrendLife Account as your other TrendLife products. If you already have a TrendLife Account, there's nothing new to create — just activate Kaleida from your account.
Subscription details, including what's included during early access and how pricing may change at general availability, are shown at activation and in your account's billing section.
As an early access product, some capabilities may evolve based on feedback. We'll share any significant changes before they happen.

Once your family is set up, each invited member can sign in on their own supported device, and Family Intelligence keeps context shared across the household regardless of which device someone is using.
If something isn't working the way you expect, these steps solve most common issues.
If none of these help, reach out through Contact Support with details about what happened and which capability was involved — it'll help our team get you back on track faster.

Every family deserves to know exactly what happens to their information before they trust an AI with it. Here's how Kaleida protects your data at every step.
Before any request reaches an AI model, Kaleida's Privacy Shield masks identifying details — names, addresses, and other personal information — so the underlying AI never sees who you are, only what you need help with.
From Family Settings, a family organizer can review what's stored for each family member, adjust what Kaleida is allowed to remember, or request deletion of a member's data at any time.
For full legal details, see Data Collection Disclosure (link pending).
Setting up your family is the first thing to do after activating Kaleida. It takes about five minutes.
Once your family is set up, every member sees an experience shaped around the household as a whole, not just their own device.

Before you reach out, it helps to have ready:
Privacy Shield sits between your family and every AI model Kaleida uses. Its job: make sure nothing that identifies you personally ever reaches an AI.
When a family member asks Kaleida something, Privacy Shield masks identifying details — like names, exact locations, or account information — before the request is passed along. The AI sees what help is needed, not who is asking.
Families trust Kaleida with sensitive, everyday questions: homework struggles, health questions, financial decisions, and things people might not say out loud. Privacy Shield means that trust doesn't require exposing your identity to every system behind the scenes.
From Family Settings, you can see a summary of what Privacy Shield masks and adjust how much context Kaleida keeps between conversations.
Privacy Shield runs automatically — there's nothing to turn on. It's part of every interaction with Kaleida.
Most AI tools are built for one person at a time. Family Intelligence is what makes Kaleida different: it holds shared context across everyone in your household, so the help it gives fits the family as a whole.
Family Intelligence shares context across the household, but it doesn't erase individual privacy. Family organizers can adjust what's shared between members in Family Settings, and each member's more personal conversations stay theirs.
Learning Buddy is Kaleida's capability for schoolwork and learning. Instead of handing over a finished answer, it's designed to help a child think one step further on their own.
Learning Buddy uses the age range you added when you set up your family. No separate setup is needed — just keep each child's age range accurate so Learning Buddy can adjust appropriately.
You can review the kinds of topics Learning Buddy has helped with from Family Settings, so homework help stays visible to the household.
Safe AI Automator takes on the small, repetitive tasks families deal with every day — so you don't have to.
Safe AI Automator can help with things like organizing information, drafting messages, or handling routine steps in a task you've asked it to take care of. It works within the values and rules your family has set through Security & Governance, so it won't take actions your household hasn't approved.
Automation only helps if you can trust it. Safe AI Automator checks in before taking any action with real-world consequences (like a purchase or a message sent on your behalf), and every completed task is visible to your family, not hidden in the background.
Ask Kaleida to help with an everyday task, and Safe AI Automator will offer to take it from there — explaining what it plans to do before it does it.
Different questions call for different strengths. AI Orchestration happens behind the scenes so your family doesn't have to think about which AI to use — Kaleida picks the best fit automatically.
When you ask Kaleida something, AI Orchestration routes the request to whichever underlying AI model is best suited to it, whether that's a quick factual question, a creative task, or something that needs more careful reasoning. This happens on a single TrendLife plan, with Privacy Shield protecting your identity no matter which model is used.
Security & Governance is how your family stays protected from scams and threats, and how you decide what AI behavior is and isn't okay in your household.
Kaleida watches for scam attempts, suspicious links, and other threats in real time, alerting your family when something looks off — using the same security expertise behind Trend Micro's protection products.
Every household is different, so Security & Governance lets a family organizer set the rules AI should follow — for example, what topics are off-limits for younger members, or how much independence a teenager has compared to a younger sibling.
Family organizers can review and adjust these rules anytime from Family Settings. Changes apply across the household immediately.
