You cannot open the app because it is either outdated, damaged, or corrupted. Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

Check System Requirements

Verify that your device is compatible with the latest version of Mobile Security by ensuring it meets the required system specifications.

Check for Mobile Security Updates
  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Tap the Profile Icon in the top-right corner.
  3. Tap Manage apps & device.
  4. Go to the Manage tab to view the installed apps.
  5. Scroll down and find Mobile Security.
  6. If an update is available, tap Update.
  7. Once the update is complete, reopen Mobile Security.
Reinstall Mobile Security

Step 1: Uninstall Mobile Security

Choose one of the following methods to uninstall the app:

  • Via App Drawer/Home Screen:
    1. Tap and hold the Mobile Security app located in the app drawer or on the home screen.
    2. Tap Uninstall and confirm the action.

  • Via Device Settings:
    1. Open Settings.
    2. Tap Apps (or App Manager).
    3. Find and tap Trend Micro Mobile Security.
    4. Tap Uninstall, then confirm.

Step 2: Install Mobile Security

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. In the Search bar, type "Trend Micro Mobile Security", then tap 🔍.

  3. Tap Install.
  4. Wait for the installation to finish, then tap Open.
  5. Read the Privacy and Personal Data Collection Disclosure, tap I agree to share user usage data to help improve this app, then tap Accept and Continue.
  6. At the lower-right corner, tap Buy / Activate.
