Why did this happen?
A recent Backdoor Access Vulnerability was discovered in some routers shipped by the company Telesquare. A malicious user can use a default telnet account to get unauthorized access to vulnerable devices.
What are its risks?
The application interface allows users to perform certain actions via HTTP requests without performing any validity checks to verify the requests. This can be exploited to perform certain actions with administrative privileges if a logged-in user visits a malicious web site and cause a denial of service attack.
