If you see a āUnsupported pageā message when you click the ID Protection extension, donāt worry ā nothing is wrong.
This simply means youāre viewing a browser page that ID Protection canāt work with, such as the Google homepage or a new tab.
š¤ Why This Happens
Some pages in your browser (like new tabs, the Google home screen, or your browser settings) are not real websites.
They are built-in browser pages.
Since these pages donāt contain login boxes or forms, ID Protection has nothing to fill in ā so it displays āUnsupported page.ā
ā When ID Protection Will Work
ID Protection will activate when you open a real website where you can sign in, such as:
- š§ Email sites like Gmail or Outlook
- š¦ Banking or shopping websites
- š± Social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
ā”ļø How to Get It Working
- Go to the website you want to log in to.
- Click the ID Protection extension icon in your browser.
- Select the username and password you want to use.
- Autofill or copy/paste the details to sign in.
Good to Know:
- This message is normal ā no need to reinstall or change anything.
- Your passwords remain safe and secure in ID Protection.
- āUnsupported pageā simply means there is no login form on the page you're viewing.
