When you purchase a Trend Micro subscription online, you might notice that your activation code looks different than expected. Don't worry - this is completely normal!

🛒 Why This Happens

To improve and streamline how activation codes are handled, Trend Micro has updated the activation code format for subscriptions purchased online.

⚙️What’s Changed?

Previously, activation codes were in the format of 4 letters followed by 16 numbers (e.g., XXXX-0000-0000-0000-0000). Now, some customers may receive a random alphanumeric code for online purchases.

🔑 What This Means for You

Online Purchases:
If you buy Trend Micro products online, you’ll now receive a random alphanumeric activation code.

Retail Purchases:
If you buy Trend Micro products in a retail store, you’ll continue to receive the traditional format (4 letters followed by 16 numbers).

Tip: Both license formats are valid and will work for activating and using your product.

🚀 What to Do Next

  1. Activate Your Product:
    • For online purchases, simply use the new random alphanumeric code to activate your product. It works just like the old activation code format.
    • For retail purchases, use your traditional 4-letter, 16-number code.
  2. Having Trouble?
