Why Can’t I Log In to the HSBC Banking App When Web Guard Is On?
You may be unable to log in to the HSBC Banking app while Web Guard is active in your Trend Micro app.
Why This Happens
Web Guard uses the Accessibility feature to protect you from unsafe websites. Some banking apps, like HSBC, restrict login access when Accessibility is on for security reasons. Because Web Guard relies on Accessibility, both apps cannot run simultaneously.
What You Can Do
- Open your Mobie Security app, then select Web Guard.
- Turn off Web Guard temporarily.
- Log in to your HSBC Banking app.
- After logging in, turn Web Guard back on to stay protected.
This behavior is due to how Android manages Accessibility permissions. Both apps are designed to keep you safe, but they cannot operate together at the same time.
