When activating your Trend Micro subscription, you may encounter this error:

This error can occur after you enter your activation code. You might see:

  • Error Code: 1010054

  • Error Code: 1010000

What Does This Error Mean?

This usually happens because there are updates being made to improve security checks.

How to Resolve the Error

You can try activating your license through the Trend Micro Activation Portal instead:

  1. Visit the Trend Micro Activation Portal here: https://account.trendmicro.com/setup/landing.
  2. Select the Get Started button.
  3. Create a Trend Micro Account:
    • Use your email address or phone number. If you already have an account, sign in with your email or phone number and password.
  4. Provide a secure password, then click Next.
  5. Fill in your first and last name to complete your profile, then click Next.
  6. Enter your activation code, agree to the Trend Micro License Agreement, and click Next.
  7. Once activated, it will redirect you to your own Trend Micro Account downloads page to install the apps and programs you purchased.
