This article will guide you in fixing the problem of Trend Micro VPN not opening on your Mac. Follow the steps below:

  1. Quit Trend Micro VPN.
  2. Open your Applications folder and drag Trend Micro VPN to the trash bin.
  3. Go to your computer's Library folder.
    • To find it, click on the Go menu in Finder.
    • Then select Go to Folder, and type ~/Library/Containers in the box that appears.
  4. Look for and delete these two files:
    • com.trendmicro.MAC.TMPWP.NEExtension
    • com.trendmicro.MAC.TMPWP.WGNEExtension
  5. Restart your Mac.
  6. Download and install a new Trend Micro VPN from the App Store.
  7. That's it! Trend Micro VPN should be working fine now.
