You see this warning message while browsing on the Internet on your Mac:
"The camera on this Mac has been turned on"
Why is this happening?
FaceTime HD a built-in camera app for Mac is running in the background and is not shown in the approved apps.
What should I do next?
Force Quit the camera apps you do not use:
- Open Activity Monitor.
- Select FaceTime HD Camera and its similar apps, like:
- FaceTime
- Photo Booth
- Skype
- Click the Stop button you in the upper-left corner of the Activity Monitor window.
- Choose Force Quit.
