You see this notification on the Trend Micro Home Network Security app:
"Remote DNS Change Exploit "
Why did this happen?
The website you are visiting has been hijacked and you are being redirected to an illegitimate website that is the exact copy of the original website.
What are its risks?
Banking websites are usually the target of the attackers. They use the vulnerability of the websites, clones the website to phish the user’s information.
When redirected to the fake website, the user’s input is already being monitored and phished by the attackers. This allows attackers to use the information gathered for theft or blackmail.
What should I do next?
