You see this error message when installing Trend Micro on Windows:

"Incompatible Software Found.
Please try to install Trend Micro Security again after removing the following programs from this computer."

What Happened?

The installer cannot remove a conflicting third-party security software.

How To Fix It

Download and Install Trend Micro Troubleshooting Tool:

  1. Download the Trend Micro Troubleshooting Tool and save it on your desktop.

  2. Double-click airsupport_downloader.exe to run the program.
  3. Click Yes when the User Account Control window appears.
  4. Read the License Agreement, then click Agree and Install.

    The Trend Micro Troubleshooting Tool window will appear.

  5. Contact Trend Micro Support for the Support Case Token Number.
  6. Enter the Support Case Token Number the Technical Support Engineer provided, then click Connect.
