You see this notification on the Trend Micro Home Network Security app:

"Authenticated Root Remote Code Execution"

Why did this happen?

An authenticated root remote code execution is detected on your VideoFlow's Digital Video Protection (DVP) product.

What are its risks?

A remote attacker can execute arbitrary system commands granting system access with root privileges, including cross-site request forgery.

What should I do next?

  • Change the default password of the router and create a much stronger password. Check your router’s manual or handbook for the instructions on changing your router’s password. Show me how.
  • Download the latest firmware update for your DVP product. Show me how.

What if I have more questions?
