You see this error message after running a scan:

"Unable to Make Improvements... Enable Flash Player Update"

Why did this happen?

The Flash Player auto update is turned off or disabled.

How do I fix this?

  1. On your keyboard, press the Windows ⊞ and R keys at the same time to open the Run window.
  2. In the Open field, type %windir%\system32\Macromed\Flash\mms.cfg, then click OK.
  3. Choose Select a program from a list of installed programs, then click OK.
  4. Select Notepad, then click OK.
  5. Change the value of AutoUpdateDisable to 0.
  6. Save and close the file.
