While you are activating the Trend Micro app or program you recently installed or purchased, you encounter this error message:

"Oops. Something went wrong. This activation code has been activated with another user account."

Why Did This Happen?

  • You are trying to use a subscription that is already active.
  • If you just renewed your subscription, it updates automatically. You don’t need to activate it again.

You don't need to reactivate your subscription; simply log in to your Trend Micro Account to manage it.

If You Forgot the Email Address

If you can’t remember the email address you used, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Trend Micro account email recovery page here: https://account.trendmicro.com/forgotemail.
  2. Enter your activation code and select Check Now.
  3. Your email address will be displayed on the screen.
  4. Use the email address to log in.
