You see this error message when you activate your Cleaner One pro that is purchased online:

Why did this happen?

Calling the crypto API of the system failed.

What should I do next?

  1. Confirm Cleaner One Pro version.
  2. Confirm Windows OS version.
  3. Confirm if it's not network issue. Open CMD. Type in curl http://regv.trendmicro.com/TERRA/ValidateUser?SN-QCMF-0000-0000-0000-0000 (use activation code)
  4. Get Debug Level Log for Cleaner One Pro.
    1. Quit Cleaner One Pro.
    2. Replace all Level value with 0x00001111 in C:\Program Files (x86)\Cleaner One Pro\tmdbg.ini.
    3. Launch Cleaner One Pro and replicate issue.
    4. Get the log from C:\ProgramData\Trend Micro\Cleaner One Pro\Log.
  5. Get a copy of corridor.dat file at this file location: %appdata%\Cleaner One Pro\corridor.dat
  6. Quit Cleaner One Pro. Delete corridor.dat and check activation result.
  7. If activation is successful, restore the Level = 0x00000111 in C:\Program Files(86)\Cleaner One Pro\tmdbg.ini
  8. Uninstall the existing Cleaner One Pro and Download the installer with fix from the link below:
  9. Download Cleaner_One_Pro_Setup.zip
