Learn how to download, install, and activate Antivirus+ Security on your computer.

Microsoft has formally announced Windows 7 End of Support. Because Microsoft no longer fixes issues on this version, it has become increasingly difficult for Trend Micro to keep users safe on this operating system. We encourage all of our users to upgrade their PCs to a more modern operating system which will provide greater stability and security.

Install Trend Micro Antivirus+ Security on Windows™ PC

For installation instructions, you can watch this video tutorial or follow the steps below:

    1. Check if your Windows™ PC meets the system requirements.

    2. Download the installer file to begin the installation.

    3. Double-click TrendMicro_16.0_EL_Full.exe to run the installer.

      Click Yes when the User Account Control window appears.

    4. Wait for the installer to extract the files needed for the installation.
    5. Wait as Trend Micro checks if your computer is compatible for installation.

    6. Type your serial number, then click Next.

      If you forgot your Trend Micro Serial Number, check your serial number and subscription by logging in to your Trend Micro Account.

      If you receive the error message "Invalid Serial Number", refer to this Knowledge Base article for instructions: “Invalid Serial Number” error message appears when activating Trend Micro Security program.

    7. Read the Data Disclosure Notice, then click Next.

    8. Read the License Agreement, then click Agree and Install.

    9. Wait for the program to install. This may take a couple of minutes.

    10. Provide a computer name, then click Next.

    11. Type your email address, then click Next.

    12. Fill out the Account Information window, then click Next.

    13. Check the information that you provided, then click Next.

    15. After activating, you will see the main console of Trend Micro Security.
